Human Rights: The East African Newspaper Salutes President Samia for safeguard human rights in the country.

The East African newspaper has expressed admiration and respect for the concrete steps taken by Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan to safeguard human rights in the country.

The newspaper has expressed appreciations in its editorial titled ‘Samia has done media good, focus is now on bad laws’ posted in their website today.

“The regional and international media are holding on to the flickers of hope, following Tanzanian President Suluhu Samia’s meeting with Tanzanian editors last week, the first such forum in the country in a long time,” said an editorial.

The newspaper added: “This newspaper salutes President Samia for the steps she has so far taken to open up and allow Tanzanians to enjoy their rights.”
